Sounds of the Prairie
Chamber Music Festival
For this second edition of the Sounds of the Prairie Chamber Music Festival, musicians of the GGFSO join forces with Argentina’s Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies (OIANT) to introduce audiences to the beauty and intensity of the music of the original peoples of the Americas.
This program brings together culturally unique indigenous instruments with the traditional sounds of violin, viola, along with pre-recorded soundscapes, creating rich and immersive sonic experience.
Prepare for a truly one-of-a-kind experience – an encounter of traditions, sounds, and cultures that promises to be both powerful and unforgettable.

Admission to most of the concerts in this series will be a free will offering. The GGFSO believes in local community outreach, with a goal of bringing our talented musicians directly to as many area audiences as possible. We have donors that generously support us during our regular season and are optimistic that this exciting new programming can sustain itself.
